Japan Launch Video / “A New Musical Journey”
Spotify, one of the world’s leading music streaming services, wanted to create a special video for their press event and web campaign to announce their launch in Japan. Sygnite Tokyo was tasked to clear the rights to Japanese songs and English songs for the video. During the research stage, we negotiated with 51 record companies and music publishers, which enabled Spotify to choose from a wide list of songs. 9 songs were licensed at the end of the day to introduce the various features of Spotify’s services in the video.
